ENGR 1301 -- Foundations of Engineering (Formerly, Engineering Problem Solving and Computing)
- Foundations of Engineering (often referred to as Engineering
Orientation) is designed to fill the need for an introductory course for
engineering majors. The course covers much of the material found in
introductory courses
at other institutions and closely follows the content of the corresponding
course at Texas A&M, College Station. It transfers there as a package with
ENGR 1304, Engineering Graphics I.

ENGR 2301 -- Engineering Mechanics I
-
Engineering Mechanics I is an introduction to "statics", the study of
structures and devices in equilibrium. A knowledge of statics is required of
all engineers and is especially useful for civil, mechanical and aeronautical
engineers, among others.

ENGR 2302 -- Engineering Mechanics II
-
Engineering Mechanics II is an introduction to "dynamics", the study of
machines and other devices with parts in accelerated motion. A good knowledge
of dynamics is required for mechanical and aeronautical engineers, is valuable
in many other engineering fields and makes a great elective. A good grounding
in calculus is essential.
